392 Days To Go!

Why did you guys choose Megève?

We spun around in a circle with a blindfold on and threw a dart at a world map… Not really—but with friends and family literally spread all over the world, it honestly felt a bit like that at first! We looked at a lot of places before landing on this little village in the French Alps (which, fun fact, neither Aly nor Chris had ever been to before). In the end, Megève checked all the boxes that mattered most to us. We wanted a place that was relatively convenient for international travel, nestled in the mountains (Aly’s long-time dream), and somewhere that truly prioritizes incredible vegetarian and vegan food (very important to Chris). Most importantly, we wanted a space big enough for everyone to stay together and spend the whole weekend as one big group. Megève turned out to be the perfect mix of beautiful, cozy, delicious, and just a little magical... and we can’t wait to experience it with you!

Will the wedding be vegetarian / vegan?

Yes! Our wedding weekend will be fully vegetarian, with many vegan options throughout. Choosing a vegetarian (and largely vegan) menu is something that’s important to us for a few reasons. It reflects our shared values around sustainability and care for the world and animals around us. It’s also a way for us to create a menu that is inclusive, thoughtful, and aligned with how we want to gather and celebrate together. We’re working closely with the L’Alpaga culinary team to create meals that are seasonal and absolutely mouthwateringly delicious. One of the reasons we chose L’Alpaga is its Michelin-starred restaurant, led by chef Alexandre Baule, who offers a six-course, fully plant-based tasting menu. Let’s just say… we are extremely excited (Chris was even dancing when we found this out)!! If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, you’ll be able to note them in your RSVP so we can make sure you’re well fed and happy all weekend long. We can’t wait for you to eat, drink, and celebrate with us 💛

Can I bring a plus-one?

Your invitation will list all invited guests by name. If a plus-one is not listed, we kindly ask that you attend without an additional guest. Due to the size of our venue, we are able to host a maximum of 105 guests, which made narrowing our guest list incredibly difficult. We truly wish we could celebrate with everyone, but we had to make some very tough decisions and prioritize those closest to us. We’re so grateful for your understanding

Are kids allowed?

Your invitation will list all invited guests (big or small!) by name. As much as we adore your kiddos, we hope this weekend can also be a chance for parents to relax and enjoy a fun night off. To help make that possible, we’ll be hiring a professional babysitting service to care for the offspring during the reception and dance party. If you have any questions at all, please reach out to Aly or Chris—we’re happy to share more details.

Alpine Weather Report

End of June in the Alps is typically beautiful! Think crisp mountain mornings, mild afternoons around ~16–20°C (60–68°F), and cooler evenings that call for a sweater. There’s always a chance of a passing shower (it is the mountains, after all), so layers are your best friend We will be making a formal sacrifice to the weather gods to secure flawless sunshine. Should our offering be rejected, please prepare accordingly with layers, sensible shoes, maybe a raincoat, and unwavering positive vibes.

Will events be indoors/outdoors?

A mix of both! We’re planning (and hoping!) to hold the ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors.
